Whitman College Pageant
Raises Over $28,000!!
Whitman College Sorority's "Mr. Whitman" Pageant raises over $28,000! Thanks to Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and Whitman College for their generous donation of over $28,000 to Salud Juntos. Salud Juntos was selected as the non-profit to benefit from the annual "Mr. Whitman" event Oct. 30 at Cordiner Hall at Whitman University. Read more and see pictures

The First Annual Seattle Benefit a huge success!
Over 65 guests joined us at the beautiful McAleer residence on Lake Washington to talk about Salud Juntos' activities. Read more
Plans are now being made for our brigade in January of 2010. The brigade will start January 4th, 2009 at Punta Ocote. University of Arizona Professor Joe Miller, MD and medical resident Pat Broyles, will conduct a vision clinic similar to the one in January of 2009. Later in the month other health care professionals including Sally Edwards, MD, Jane Mohler, RN, MPH, PhD, and Mindy Fain, MD will be working with patients in Punta Ocote. Executive Director, Sheridan Reiger, plans to be in Honduras for over 2 months working to initiate the new program with 6 community health workers stationed in the small villages around Punta Ocote.
